That's lovely. Phal Lueddemanniana was one of the first plants on my wish list.

I have seen it only once in person and it was £85 to buy, so it didn't come home with me. I hope to have one someday, so it was nice to see a reminder from you of how beautiful they are!

This plant I got for the equivalent of 1 US dollar.

In the words of any teenager I have ever known, or been...

That's SO unfair!!!!!. If I could afford to, I would move just to protest at the amount of money we have to pay for orchids over here. Oh well, I guess it means that my house isn't overrun by the plants...

Orchids are generally more expensive in the UK? That sounds awful!

This phal is gorgeous; like a pink leopard!

    Gorgeous flower!

UK is pretty expensive but there are European nurseries that sell Phal lueddemanniana for 12 Euro so I have no idea what the vendor was playing at trying to charge £85 for one

Elena, you need to ask the nurseyman why the high price. Sometimes the answer boils down to, "because I know I can get it."

ntgerald, eyeopening colors on that flower, wonderful pics.

I just looked at this posting for the 3rd time because I absolutely LOVE this bloom!!! I'm going to go look around and see if I can find one...do you think it would grow happily on my eastern windowsill?
