    Default Psychopsis papilio var alba

I purchased this as a seedling a few years back. The spike that has this flower developed last fall but is only starting to bloom. I have 2 more spikes developing. The lip is small, I sure hope as the plant matures that improves

Do they bloom around the same time? I know these guys can last for months - sometimes years in bloom. I have never seen a yellow one like yours here. Most are yellow with brown spots.

In the dead of winter, all of mine rest. Too cold for them I would suspect. Four or five are getting ready to bloom. I was very excited when I found this alba. I think I got it from a CT vendor at the Cape and Island show a few years back. Here is the normal color form of the species.

I have 3 different forms of alba psychopsis species, all still quite small. How big is the plant that is blooming for you?
