Default Bllra Tahoma Glacier 'Green'

This is the Tahoma Glacier that I picked up a couple weeks ago at the Santa Barbara Orchid Fair. There are a total of 12 spikes on this plant, and the flowers are about 4-5 inches wide. It was an absolute steal at $30!!

I was in the greenhouse this morning and our Tahoma Glaciers are in bud/bloom. Guess it is their time. They make such a show with the huge flowers and large spikes. We took a couple that were in tight bud to the Orchid Society of the Ozarks meeting Sunday and they were snatched out of the box before we could unpack them on the sales table. They really are a strong growing orchid!

Thanks for posting a photo of yours!

Cheers!

We could learn a lot from crayons: some are sharp, some are pretty, some are dull, some have weird names, and all are different colors....but they all exist very nicely in the same box. ...Hmmm? .

Awesome plant, Nancy. Does your's have a little patch of yellow on the "skirt" of the lip? It's hard to tell on the one in the closeup.

Hi Rick! It sure does have a tiny yellow edge...a nice detail on an already beautiful flower! I think this is one of my favorites!

I love the transparent spotting, and the bold spotting on the lip. Very beautiful! Is is scented?
