Word of warning: While they do start blooming at a small size, I saw one at a show a year or 2 ago ... the plant was HUGE [by my standards] -- easily the size of a standard phal.
Really? It will be interesting to see if that happens here. If it does, I'm fine with it... but will the bloom size increase with the plant or will they always be the size of a quarter, but just many more? Now I'm intrigued.... Would the spotting be more pronounced on a larger bloom?

Don't see any problem there who wouldn't want a plant that's a bit bigger with tons of flowers, unless of course if you really really really don't have any space?

    Oh my gosh! It is!!

And I actually decided to crowd most of my orchids onto one shelf just to see what kind of space I could minimize into if needed. So if it gets to be around standard size, it should be ok... for now.

All I ever find at our farmer's market are begonias and petunias.

This is one of those outdoor farmers market... basically a bunch of small vendors come out into a parking lot for a few hours on Saturday, put up a tent (pavillion - hehe) and sell what they have. Fruits, cookies, homemade wood knick knacks, orchids (actually a smaller landscape company that sells them).....

I'm a mini mark fan too, I wanted one for ages and then one day at the orchid nursery I decided that if I was going to spend £60, why not get another one too. I imagine yours cost less than £17 ($34 ?) though.

I was about to cut off the last spike with it's sole remaining flower today, only to find that it is having a growth spurt from the end and seems to want to keep flowering.

I am very much a fan of the little ones!
