    Default Phal Da-chien Spider Beauty

I couldn't help myself and brought this home from work tonight. Lol I stopped myself and didn't get it the first time I saw it, but I just had to get it today. The label reads Dtps. Spider Beauty (not a registered name), but I am sure it is Phal Da-chien Spider Beauty. I thought I wasn't going to get more supermarket phals but I guess I was wrong. I just love the patterns on this phal!

I unpotted it and the root system was large and healthy. I put it in this decorative pot for now.

That's a lovely bloom and a lovely pot Fren. I'm pretty sure I wouldn't have been able to pass it up twice either.

The spots certainly look like some kind of spider web. A really appropriate name, then.

I do sympathize you when it comes to pass up on orchids. ... And I couldn't resist either. So I bought it. An encyclia cochleata, that is. ...

    Nice save!

Nice choice on the pottery, too.

These remind me so much of my Dtps Long Pride Fancy... So many with similar, but not exact, colorations.

    Lovely photos, Fren.

The pattern in the sepals/petals is almost hypnotic if you stare at it long enough...it possessed you to take it home

Someone might have bought it and thrown it away when it stopped blooming! You did your civic duty! Judi
