Default Bllra Peggy Ruth Carpenter 'Morning Joy'

This was one of the plants that Mr E bought for me as an anniversary present back in March. It finished blooming in May and recently re-spiked.

Only one flower on the first spike but it's almost as big as my palm. There are two more spikes about to open too.

It has a sweet, peppery smell.

That is one sweet oncidium. I love how delicate it appears.

One of my favorite mericlones that is fairly common in these parts. Everytime I see it I have to have a whiff. I love the intergenerics. I've noticed that the fewer flowers some of these intergenerics have, the larger they are...the inverse is also true.

Thank you, guys! Hopefully the other spikes won't be too far behind so I can post a more floriferous update.

    Lovely onc. this one!

I bought one last year, but gave it to my mom a month ago when I was clearing a bit of widowsill space, a week later i visited again and saw that it actually had 4 spikes developing! My mom asked if I wanted it back now, but I'll let her enjoy those lovely flowers

On a side note I was quite proud to have cared well enough for the little guy to spike like that!
It was one of the plants I bought on the "hey-orchids-are-really-cool! buying spree" I went on when they first cought my interest..

    Christian
