    It would be even cooler if you had 10 blooms. For some reason, ALL of my phals tend to produce an odd number of blooms. Hmm....maybe a Fibonacci series?

    That is pretty good intuition or experience, it looks to be 11 in the making. We'll just have to make room for one extra!

    I have P. amabilis as well. This plant surprises me with the sheer size of the blooms...almost the size of saucers!

    Very nice -- please post an updated photo when they've all opened! There is something about a white phal--classic and understated that even with all the other beauties out there I find them hard to resists.

    Clint -- interesting theory on the odd number of blooms. I've never thought about that, but I just checked the phals I have blooming and sure enough -- 11, 7 w/ 2 buds . . . perhaps a phal conspiracy trying to tell us something.
