    Default Phal Violacea v. sumatra

Well, I can't take credit for this, but I've had it for a few weeks and it did bloom instead of blast this lovely thing. (photo leaves a lot to be desired, sorry). The scent is amazing-light floral-y and then cinnamon.

Hopefully I can keep it happy.

    Great bloom, Jenny!

Some of the Phal species, and their hybrids, can be fussy. Good growing!

How are your new digs suiting you? Are you happily settled?

Thanks Julie-good to see you here!

I love the new digs, the new state, new friends, old friends, new job....It's been a good move that I'm glad I made. Lots of change, but it's all good stuff. Whew! Thanks for asking!

Good to hear! But most importantly, how's the pup?

(I passed a car today with a shepherd head stuck out the driver's window and I thought of you guys!)

Cori is doing great, and we NEVER roll the window down farther than a couple inches! LOL

He has been "free" again for about 7 weeks since his 12 week post second surgery lay-up. He's mostly sound, gaining muscle that was atrophied during all that rest. I think once his strenght is built up he'll be as close to good as new as we could hope for. Last radiographs looked great, femur fracture was heeled and TPLO was heeled up as well.

He's been on a trail ride, hiked for an hour this morning with a border collie friend, and comes to work with me every day and helps me. I'm pretty sure if I were a dog, I'd think life were about perfect right now.

Cori thanks his auntie McJulie for asking about him!

I just bought the same orchid and it has a tiny spike grown out of the bottom. How long will it take the spike to make buds?
