    Default Phal Scarlet O'Brunzer

This is a beautiful melon colored flower that just glimmers in the sunlight today. It is just starting to open. Of note, for me anyway, since I'm doing my own "flower study" and comparing flower size on virgin spikes and previously used spikes, this is a "used" spike ant the flower (2.5" x 2") is about0.5" to 0.75" smaller than the same flower last year. It has some new "virgin" spikes not pictured, so we will see if the flower size is related to something else......to be continued!

Scarlet is gorgeous. Great blooming job and neat idea, doing a comparison like that. Bet that keeps ya busy in those long Michigan winters.

Trust me, while your days are not as warm as southern Florida, I'd much rather be down there!

Oh! Be careful! Staring at that beauty glimmering in the sunlight can hurt your eyes. Give your peepers a break and send her to me for a warm Florida vacation

She's too lovely for words, except she is now on my wish list.

Bikerdoc, I swear you have the prettiest Phals! Where did you find this one?
    It sure is a stunner.
Re. the two I am working on for you. I think we are at a stand still and they will just have to be very nice NOID's. They obviously have some species breeding in them but it appears to go back further than I can trace with just a picture. Just love 'em anyway and you can call them anything you like!

Al, thanks for all your hard work. And, you are correct. If a flower is beautiful that should be enough for those of us who aren't planning on creating more but wish to ejoy the bounty we have. As for where I obtain stuff.... I'm the local dumpster hunter.... bag guy!!! You the guy who goes around on garbage day sifting through what nobody wanted to buy or what the local garden center or bigbox store didn't care for properly. Sometimes....many times I get lucky. I write down a name, search the internet and go back and purchase at pennies on the dollar. I used to get stuff for $1 but the garden center got smart and saw they were losing lots on me....oh well, at $3 or $4 a plant it is still a bargain!
