    Default Phal lobii

This one seems to be much darker than my other one. The flower seems to be a bit bigger as well.

Interesting! I have one labelled Phal. lobii 'black lip', maybe it's one of those?

Incidentally mine has two spikes and so far every single bud's blasted, a total of 5 It seems to be plant's first blooming so I'm wondering it's just not strong enough to sustain two spikes There are a couple of buds left but I'm not holding my breath.

I, on the other hand, am holding my breath for my tiny parishiixlobbi, carrying twin spikes which grow sooooo slowly. How do you grow yours? I'm giving it plenty of light and water it whenever the roots' velamen whitens.

Good luck, Giovanna, I hope yours won't be such a diva I'm growing mine similarly - warm, plenty of light and water.

Well the blooms are fashionably late already! The spike was visible in late October (the first spike of all my phals) and now it's only one cm long whereas every other spike is forming buds.

Do you grow under lights? If not then maybe it's because the day are shorter at the moment? Or maybe slow and steady is just the way it should be done Mine's under lights and the spikes developed at a fairly normal rate for a Phal. Just wish the buds didn't blast *sigh*

That's really pretty Ron. Looks like an upside down bunny rabbit face. Check it out.
