    Default Paphiopedilum moquettianum

Paph moquettianum is a sequential bloomer, so don't cut the spikes off. Mine stays in bloom for many many months. I give it bright light as I grow under very bright HPS systems and keep it moist, not soggy wet.

Sigh... Beautiful, Peter, as always. The focus is so sharp you even got the hairs...

Thanks, lja! I actually lowered the resolution. The larger high resolution picture is just crystal clear.

That photo looks like it should be in "ORCHIDS" magazine. SO professional! The lighting is perfect. Well done!

    Cheers!

Seriously, Peter, every picture you take is just absolutely spectacular.

I bet your growing area is something to see.

    Thanks for the nice comments!

My grow area now needs cleaning. I'm waiting for warmer summer days, so the plants can go out in the sunny porch and I can clean the grow area. It'll be an all weekend job (not looking forward to it at all).

Wow!! What a gorgeous, stunning picture (and plant)! What type of camera do you use? And how do you get the black background?

    Thanks orchidfan,

That photo ws taken a year or so ago, so I don't really remember what material I had used. I think I used a black poster board but not so sure. I have an older Kodak digital camera. It was the "top of the line" when I first bought it a couple of years ago.
