Phragmipedium besseae in bloom picture
Hi Heather,
Here's a picture of my Phrag besseae in bloom. The blooms are tiny compared to other Phrag species.

Nice Paphraguy! There are so many crosses using besseae. Anyone know how many? I love the way the bloom is so perfect and balanced. And the color is so vibrant!
Cheers!

Bru, thanks! There are quite a few besseae hybrids made. I can't wait to see what kovachii hybrids would look like, that would be interesting.

Thank you Pete!
Very tempting....
less than two hours left on that Suncoast Besseae I mentioned to you earlier. But I am holding out for a re-listing. They often do a "buy-it-now" at lower price. They had a BS Lowii last week, which was $50, which didn't go, and now a NBS is listed at $21.50....you know I want one of those tooo...
Sigh...

Yes, lowiis are beautiful but they do get quite big and the blooms are just spectacular.

I like a lot. The vertical striping on the pouch from that yellow center looks like a sunburst!
My only beef with them is that I wish the flowers were bigger....
Oh well. Awesome pic, anyway.
