    Default Phragmipedium Inca Embers close-up

This Phrag hybrid has been in bloom for months. Here is a close up of the blooms and I think they are about to drop any day now with more new buds on the way.

This plant is big and fast growing and I'm thinking of maybe trading it or selling it so I can get more species!

It's pretty - I saw it in your outdoor pics yesterday I think. LONG spikes! I do like that hybrid.

Yes, the spikes are very very tall and plant is big and grows like a weed. If I had the room I would keep it but need the space for more species.

I bet you will have no trouble trading or selling it, Pete. It is really something! Thanks for sharing it here!

    Cheers!

I hate it when phrags bloom so profusely that you get sick of their blooms!

So far, I've sent to my mother two Sedeniis, a monstrous Eric Young, and a Hanne Popow. Partly to save on room, and also because she likes the pink/orange phrags more than I do! (I keep all the long-petalled ones, though).

That's beautiful, Pete. It works very well with the blue slanted light background too. The orange in the blooms just pops right out.

    Hi Pete,

I don't know what line of work you are in but considering all the amazing photos you take, you should definitely think about publishing them in a book! I would certainly enjoy seeing a collection your photos in a book format! At the very least, you should find a gallery to sponsor an exhibit of your work! Your photos are always so stunning....

    Nancy,

Thanks for the kind compliments! If I do have my pictures published, would you really buy my book? Hey, you never know!

    Pete,

I can sincerely tell you, without any doubt, that I would indeed buy a book of your photographs. Not only would I buy one, I would probably purchase more to give to friends. That's how highly I think of your photography!! You really should give it some thought. I don't know how many pictures you have in your collection, but I'm sure some publishers might be interested in seeing them. You can always publish them yourself too.

Thanks, Nancy! You're very kind and thoughtful! I do have quite a few pictures of my own home grown Paphs and Phrags. I have already discussed it with my literary agent and she is very excited and positive about the project! It is nice and very comforting to know that I already have a fan.
