    Pleurothallids are really neat. It always amazes me how tiny they are yet so perfectly formed. Thanks for posting this! I really like the green halo.

    it is really neat, isn't it? The halo in real life tends toward a slightly more golden color. Combined with the garnet color of the flowers, I always figured that this little flower was the penultimate Seminole (Florida State University in Tallahassee, FL) fan.

    about 3/4 inch (2 cm) from top to bottom. Pretty big for a pleuro.
