    Default My New Babies

Got a couple new paphs today. Thanks to Jason and Louis for posting such tempting pics of the roth. and PEOY!

This is Paph. rothschildianum 'Sam's Best FCC/AOS x Rex FCC/AOS' (and thanks also to Pete for helping me locate this!)

(edit! I mixed up the pics, so the first two were reversed. Now they are correct!)

Outstanding acquisition! The best paph hybrid in my estimation, bar none. (And it's not named Wossner Sandroth, which is always a bonus).

    Default And the PEOY

Here is the PEOY 'Rothschildianum "Noyo" AM/AOS x Sanderianum "Candor Noyo" AM/AOS'

    Default Bonus!

I got this too - as a bonus, which, being another species, is ok, though I am not sure I really *love* spicerianum... It is little, and looks like it will spike in the not to distant future.
Oh, I forgot, it is Paph. spicerianum 'Candor Big Top x Candor HCC/AOS'

Yes, thanks! And nice and small too, which is good, considering I will soon have a nice multifloral to squeeze in!

Those small babies won't stay small. They'll outgrow the multfloral hybrid but that will be years before that happens.

I'm glad you got the roth and PEOY and now you need a sanderianum to be complete!

Heather, great acquisitions! Your collection is getting some serious quality plants in it.

Personally, I really like spicerianum a lot...

Those are all really healthy, well grown plants.

Now you get to settle in for the wait until they bloom.....

Did you notice I'd mixed up the photos? lol. I just took root pics, so I'll post for you when I get *back* to work tonight. See if I can get it right this time around. People are probably very tired of my root and small plant pics!

They. both had nice root systems w/ new growth. They all, particularly the spice, needed serious repotting and look very happy in their new little homes. I love repotting the babies! The big ones are tougher for sure! Love those clear pots!!!

re: sizing - the last time, w/ the little haynaldianum, I got the impression people thought it was larger than it was, so I thought it be good, since these were so small to put the scale in.

And yes, they won't stay small for long - just long enough for me to find room for a small set-up upstairs for some of the others! lol.

If I find a sand. I can afford, I'll let you know!!
