Hi to All...
while browsing this forum I was compelled to share...
isn't that what Orchids are all about... sharing...

while visiting the States a while back, I picked up a
seedling of Vuyl. Melissa Brianne 'Shady Ladys' HCC_AOS...
and it finally decided to "show" itself...
pretty little thing... 2 spikes...10 blooms...all in a 2" pot.

Regards...Scotty

ooooops... sorry about the size...
although I've been a Photographer most of my adult life... I'm sorta 'new' to this digital stuff... almost all of what i've done has been with film... and I forgot about digital image size as it relates to number of pixels... most of the other pics I have available have been 'scanned' from negatives or large photographs...

that pic was shot at a 2048x1536x16M resoultion... with a
Minolta E323 - 3.2megapixel camera in the macro mode.

Now... I have to look for some software program that will let me reduce the total image size... without loosing image quality... so I can post pics here that don't overfill your screen.

Any suggestions on that software would be apprecialed...

Regards... Scotty.

btw... should I start a separate thread for different genus/species... or just continue in this thread ???

Yes, definitely post more and I think it's better to list/post them separately. I think any photo editing software should work. Your camera probably came with one.

Hi Scotty... Welcome!

Here is a free image processing program you can download which (I'm told) is pretty good. Should be able to do everything you need with digital images:

http://www.ee.siue.edu/CVIPtools/

Definitely keep posting your pics! The ususal format is a seperate thread for a different picture.

Nice to have you here!
