    Default Encyclia alata

    A recent acquisition, this is still a rather small plant with a respectable 11 flowers and two buds on a branching spike. Big plants of this species can produce overhwelming candelabras of flowers. The scent is pleasant and sweet.

    Hailing from Mexico, this species has flowers that can be somewhat variable in size. Mine has flowers nearing 2 inches across.
