    Default purple fringed orchid

We got to go hiking yesterday in Grayson Highlands State Park located in VA. My first view of a purple fringed orchid in the wild! It was the only one! We did see some beautiful scenery, and some brightly colored mushrooms!

very nice, Gilda! These don't grow in Florida, so we have to enjoy them vicariously.

So cool to have wild orchids growing nearby isn't it? Makes me feel like a conservationist, in a way...even if I just view and share photos and stories. Thanks Gilda for the wonderful pic.

Prem...I live vicariously through your orchids all the time!

    Jason,
Nature sure did good on those shrooms!! The color, number and how they were coming up through the grass said "Kodak Moment"!

Gilda, you're so lucky to have caught that purple fringe in bloom!

And those 'shrooms are *excactly* the kind of thing we need to offer on our nastyplants website. Wanna go into business?
