That is the SAME reason I kept the mother plant large.

In a month i'll hopefully be the proud owner of a Sharry Baby.
After a long search on the web, i finally found a German nursery that sells them.
My German friends will deliver it for me when they come to visit me in august.

Paphraguy, seeing your baby bloom makes me want to have mine like yesterday. Patience has never been my thing.

Congrats on your new SB! I'm surprised to know there are SBs available in Europe! You'll love it! Make sure you have plenty of room for it!

Oh Good! She lives in SF, right? Beautiful city! You're sending her the smaller div, correct?

Oh yes, I love SF - going for x-mas so I can check up on your--->my--->Jane's SB! Yes, I am sending the smaller non-spiking one. Though I am now quite sick of the smell of cookies baking, I am still very excited for the fragrant blooms that will pop out shortly.

As for the scent of Sharry Baby, we had this discussion on another forum because mine, while being a VERY strong scent, is nowhere near chocolate. I'm trying to recall now, as it was last fall, but I remember mine being more candy-scented - VERY sweet - not sickeningly sweet, but pretty close. I've been curious whether different plants smell differently, whether the scent is different to different people, or both. I have a Sharry Baby Red Fragrance (I think) that I'll be curious to see what it smells like. Really, I need to smell a plant that someone else thinks smells like chocolate and see if it really does...
