Hey Pete? (I know, I am a pain but) sometime when it is nice out, can you take a pic of the whole plant? I am sort of curious about how big it really is. Thanks!!

Not today, dark and drizzly today! Maybe tomorrow if it's nice and bright!

Is the european market a whole lot different than here? I mean since all of our orchids have to be imported at one time or another, wouldn't they be more readily available abroad? Now I'm not talking about the HD and the Lowes' orchid market, but the collector market. Why would a rather popular and common plant here be so hard to come by there? Expecially when they are closer to where it origionally came from.

Heather, here is the picture of the mother SB plant in bloom in my office. It is still quite large. It is not a great picture but at least you'll know what it looks like.

Thanks Pete, gives me some idea of what I can look forward to. I was also wondering this morning how large the blooms were and was going to ask you anyway, so now I know.

Wow, that is enormous! I've only seen SB with maybe 2-3 PB's. That is amazing.

Traci, that was actually much bigger before I had divided it a few weeks ago and sold the divs to Slippah Sistah! She has two and the mother plant is still HUGE!

I cannot believe how huge it must have been, just looking at mine which are huge (sent this pic to Janie too, who was impressed and she said to thank you for such a nice div. Peter.) Actually, I think that smallest one has 3 or 4 pbs...mine has quite a few more.

It was so BIG that it was actually very heavy for me to carry outdoors! The weight was another reason I had to divide it. I think it is about twice the size of your larger div, maybe even slightly bigger. Last year, the plant had about 5-7 long spikes in bloom.

ROTF Slippa Sistah! You are cracking me up. If you divide again next year, I'll buy a division from you!
