Default Paphiopedilum stonei

This is one of my two Paph stoneis, multigrowth and should spike soon. LS is about 18-20".

Have I said before that I think your plants are just *so* beautifully well grown? Hmmm, I don't think I've told you that before.... This one really looks tremendous - much bigger than your leafspan indicates - I guess photos can be deceiving...no?

Yes, photos can be very deceiving! The other stonei is a slow coach!

ah ha, that's a good shot of that normal "brown" stuff at the leaf base that someone new to growing multiflorals might be worried by (and rightfully so).

Yes, I wondered about that myself, actually, until I saw some of your pics, and read Jason's recent reply regarding this phenomenon! Thanks you guys! Such good newbie assisters....ahem, maybe enablers is more apropo??
