    Default Brassia gireoudiana PHOTO UPDATE

My Brassia gireoudiana is finally in full bloom with 5 spikes and over 100 giant spidery fragrant blooms. The plant is huge and heavy and I accidently broke off a couple of blooms on my way out to the porch. Here are the photos as promised!

Thanks for the nice comments. No, I'm not a professional photographer. Took me lots of practice and I'm still learning.

Geez! How'd I miss that one?
Nice stripes actually! But I needed the close-up to really see them.
You know how I feel, but that is a monster of a plant! Good growing indeed! WOW! Is it propped up on like, 4 pots? I cannot tell through all the foliage and blooms (did you count? really?)

Heather, yes I had to prop the pot because the pot kept tipping over from the weight of the giant plant and the blooms. You can only see 4 spikes and 1 spike was smaller so hard to see in the pic. Very large fragrant flowers.

how do you find room for paphs with that behemoth?

(I got a paph bel royal a couple years ago that monopolized an entire window)

That is why it needs to be divided soon before I bring them back inside. It is a MONSTER plant.

Prem, I still haven't divided it yet but will do so soon and I already have another member interested in a division. PM me if you're interested, I can sell you a nice division.
