Default Yippy!! Tubers, Rhizomes & Bulbs Club Contest

I know everyone is busy during the summer and sitting at your computer is probably the last thing you want to do or have time to do. :inop:

Since we started the TRB Club (Tubers, Rhizomes & Bulbs) postings have fallen off a bit – to be expected. Here’s a bit of an incentive to start talking again. We’re doing a contest to increase the chatter through the summer.

Time frame: From now until August 31, 2005

Who is eligible? You must be a member of the TRB Club, but if you’re not yet you can apply for membership anytime during the time period the contest is running. You also must live in the US to receive one of the plant prizes.

Who will the winner be? We are going to have a 1st and 2nd place winner. Yep, two prizes. Once again, the goal is to increase chatter. The two people who contribute the most to the TRB Club by the number of times they post will be the winners.

What I’m really looking for here are good quality posts – no “Isn’t that a pretty plant” type posts. You know what I mean - good questions, good replies to threads, new threads – that kind of stuff.
I just want to start talking to you all again! (sniff)

The Prizes: The 1st Place Winner will have a choice of either 5 named varieties of hardy lilies (my choice depending on what I have available) or 3 named varieties of cannas (your choice). I can provide a list of about 25 varieties to pick from. I’m pretty picky about the plants I have in my garden. I think you’ll find all of these very nice varieties of either plant.

2nd Place Winner – 3 varieties of lilies or 2 named cannas

If you have any questions, please ask and if you’re not a member of the TRB Club and want to know how to become one, let me know.

This is a great contest, Kev. I hope lots of folks join and post--there's really good information over there already.

Don't want any non-US people to feel excluded though, so how's about we help out some?

If, when the time comes, the winners happen to live outside the US, you won't be able to get plant material, like Kevin said, but I'd like to put up two of these

    AWESOME

RVO tile coasters--perfect for keeping the dew on that frosty mug from staining your tabletop, plus, they're just plain good-lookin because they have one of my favorite Cattleyas on them.

(I know--the coasters don't compare to Kev's cannas or lillies, but still. Non-US people will be able to be part of this too....)

So there you have it, prizes for anybody and everybody who can win the contest.

Join Tubers, post hard, and GOOD LUCK!

That is so cool! I didn't even think of non-plant stuff. Thanks a lot.

    Default Contest cancelled--sorry!

Since there are no longer any clubs, there is no longer any club posting contest.

However, we will get another contest going here very soon, so keep an eye out!
