I use extra light in my green house some are the compact fluorescent in clip on reflectors , others are just shop lights with full spectrum tubes I use them in the winter and over seedlings they seem to help when we have a lot of gloomy days, mine are not that close to the plants as they do get natural light as well . Thanks Bruce. When I figure out exactly how I should hang lights so that they'll be over...or near over...the plants, I'll do as you suggested. (By the way, there's another T5 light figure behind the one you see in the picture.)
    Thanks again,
    Vicki

    Hi,
I didn't know about the efficiency of metal halide lights, so thanks for your help. This is good food for thought.

    Thanks Gin,
After I read your reply, I wanted to see what I could come up with before I replied to you. I put grow lights in some metal reflector clip ons that we have and tried to clip them on the metal braces over the plants. My problem was the cords, so I'm gonna go back and re-think the situation and try other places to clip them on.
    Thanks for your help!

    Hi Jeff,
I'll be more than happy to answer these questions, as well as any others you may have but I don't see a PM option so that I can contact you. If you like, you're welcomed to contact me via my personal e-mail address and I will reply to you. vicki@mymusicattic.org
