Hello Byron, I did find a older post about leaves turning purple. Take a look at the posting by John (wetfeet101b) it should help explain what is going on. You have no worries about the purple issue. Have Fun,Rich

I didnt know this could happen Rich, i thought plants would turn yellowish green when they were getting too much light but not purple or is this different. Thank you for this info.

The purple or pink tint on the leaves is the plants way of protecting itself against sunburn; very much like humans when they get tan. I've seen many plants react to maximum sunlight by turning purple on the edges and underside and by blooming their little heads off. Balance is the name of the game. If you increase sunlight then increase air circulation to keep the leaves cool, and of course increase humidity so the plant doesn't dry out.Pat

I think that some plants get a purplish tint, while most plants tend to go more yellowish/green when they are getting max. amount of light. I did find another older post you could take a look at also. Have Fun,Rich
