    Default mini greenhouse

Last fall I was able to get this mini greenhouse for about $55
This weekend was the first time the weather allowed me to use it.
My bf was so kind as to help me make some shelves to put in it.
I feel like king of the hill when I'm inside

Hopefully I'll get a real greenhouse in the future....but for now I'm satisfied with this little one.

Wow! Very nice. It looks like you get to do some more orchid hunting to fill it up! Good Growning, Dana!

I've got more orchids in the house, not all my orchids were outside that day. It's such a drag to take them all in in the evening (It's still to cold to have them outside all the time)
But you're definitely right..I NEED to buy more chids

The majority of my plants are in s/h and most of the really like it.
Most of them are doing great (specially the phals)
But I do have a problem algae in the pots.

The only ones in s/h that are giving me a bit of a headache are:
Burrageara Nelly Isler and Onc. Twinkle 'Red Fantasy'
I'm not sure they are getting enough moisture in s/h. I've tried to plant the lower but the roots still look dry. I might have to take them out of s/h and in some other media.

They can take some time to adjust.4 seedlings i put in s/h seem to take ages to do anything but 3 have flowered since.Phals seem to adjust very quickly if the conditions(warm & reasonably humid) are good.
A Phal gigantea seedling(i left another in bark) seemed to really object to s/h but i,ve noticed a new fat green root making a concerted effort to reach the res .So now i,m fairly convinced it will take to s/h.
If Nelly wasn,t growing new roots when you changed over to s/h it will take a lot longer for the adjustment
Generally my Oncids take to s/h very well(including the species).
My Onc flexuosum came mounted & i put it into s/h.The 2 spikes flowered fine & it even grew another. It has been chucking out new PB,s & roots & now has 4 spikes , 2 of which are over a metre long & it,s growing new PB,s & the same time.If the plants don't not look distressed give them some more time.
If you think they look a little dry then try watering form the top(in the mornings ) every 2 days.
