Well i fitted 1 off the auto vent openers tonight , i had to remove some of the
polycarbonate so i could make a cutout in the plastic mouldings that hold the glazing in .
The destructions have a line that says "The clamps simplify installation" , compared to what ?
Might have a go @ 1 of the auto louvres tomorrow.

    Hi uncasteeb-

It looks and sounds like your new greenhouse is coming along great...thanks for the photos..."looks bloody brilliant mate!"

One lesson I've learned with my greenhouse is that I need more and more places to hang plants. The great thing about a greenhouse is that you can grow hanging and mounted plants, and water freely with a hose. I've started putting lots of plants in baskets and hanging pots, especially if they are not growing well in other medias, and many really do prefer to hang as opposed to sit, not to mention vandacious...

So I would suggest to you that you figure out a way to suspend bars parallel with the roof line down the length of the greenhouse for hanging plants. If you're like me, you'll find that you never have enough places to hang plants. I'm not sure how you would do it without putting too much load on the roof...so you may want to build a freestanding framework for hanging. I've used galvanized chain link fence pipe and connectors for my benches and hanging bars...but I'm not sure what is available across the pond. Regardless, you'll have fun coming up with ingenious inventions and systems tailored to your growing needs...

My Phal species are hung from a wood framework in my growroom & this will be transferred to the g/h , just have to find a place to hang my Ascocenda.
Well i,ve fitted 1n autolouvre & it looks pretty good.I used a kickplate to locate the bottom of the polycarbonate & a couple of glass retaining clips to hold everything in place.Almost looks like it was meant for the job.
I,ll fit the other auto vents/louvres tomorrow.

The auto louvres are in the sides @ the bottom opposite the 2 auto vents.
This is the way the g/h manufactures reccomended for best air flow.I was going to put 1 in the back of the g/h but the polycarbonate sheet there is nearly 8 foot long & a real pain to move. Also if i cut it wrong a lot harder to replace.

Shading is done. Not the way i really wanted to do it but it will be ok for now.
Mostly 50% shading with an area that is 75%.
1 side & bothe ends don,t really need it as they only get a little direct sun.

I,ve left the top shading a little billowy so that when the auto vents work through their full motion they don,t rip the shading off.
