    Hi, I live in NJ and was without power for 11 days. I have 35 orchids in S/H. At one point it was 43 degrees inside my house, I thought for sure I would lose everyone. To my surprise I have orchids blooming left and right! Yes, I did lose a few of them. I grow in an East window with a 4 shelf stand I bought at Target about 3 years ago. On the top shelf I have 2 Wonderlites that I use for supplemental light. They really work great and don't get THAT hot. Anyway, it works for me. I guess the moral of the story is.....orchids are more hardy than we think. I've never sneezed so much this winter from all the blooming that's been going on, but I don't care!
