A very familiar sight...I have an eight foot table in our TV room, and everything else is packed in a 6' x 7' makeshift greenhouse with a heater going....I even brought in an orange & lemon and 2 bananas trees.I covered three plumerias,(my daughters), mine are still out in the yard,(too big & too many).

Just came in from wrapping the date palm chids and Miss Joachim with Christmas lights hopefully they will stay above freezing, had to wait for it to stop raining so I could cover the more tropical plants but I think it is all in vain, calling for 30 deg to last 2-3 hours tonight and 26 tomorrow. I HATE THIS WEATHER !!!!

It's funny how having to cart them in and out can remind a girl to stop shopping so often!! lol Guess it's good we didn't get to go shopping....mine are struggling to cope with the new room and the new heater. It's better than carrrying them in and out though.

Guys, the weather is just terrible!!!
We already had 8 or 9 really cold nights, once or twice temperature dropped as low as 20-22 F . Sunday was rainy, windy and very chilly. Some places experienced ice pellets... we did not, but it was really very cold. Last night was cold, too... 27F at 7 a.m. today
My lime tree and valencia orange tree were covered by blankets and plastic, however they are badly damaged. I am afraid lime tree is gone. It was already damaged one year ago.
Here is my backyard in the morning of Jan., 7th.

Well. it's Feb.12, and the weather report is 38 F., tomorrow night. I guess I'll have to drag them all in again. I thought(wrongly), that we were done for the year....
