    Default Driftwood curing any ideas?

    I recently picked 2 pieces of drift wood from a beach. I have an idea to mount orchids on them any suggestions on how to cure them?.

    Just leave them out hanging in the weather for at least a year.
    I do the same with decking that I use.

    I have a few mounts on drift wood I collected on our beach. You have to get all the salt out
    if you found it on the ocean beach. I first boiled it in fresh water for about 15 min. I then soaked
    it in fresh water for at least a week changing the water every day. You must remove the salt or
    your orchids will not survive. By taking these precautions mine haven't had any problems. I hope

    Yes, be sure to remove the salt!
