    Default Oncidium/Maxillaria?

I'm thinking of trying semi-hydro, I've been reading so much good stuff about it. But, what kind of plants can I do semi-hydro with? I have an oncidium and a maxillaria that could be removed from their pots and added to semi-hydro. I've seen Oncidium being switched, but what about Maxillaria? Anyone had success with those?

key to success in S/H is move them when they are actively growing new roots. I have most of onc.hybrids,cat. hybrids and tolumnia in S/H and they seem to be doing alright. maxillaria should also be ok if you move them when they are growing new roots. I don't have my maxillaria in S/H as it was mounted and seems to be just adjusting to my environment.
