    Default Dendrobium keikis

I have a dendrobium who lost all its leaves after its last blooming. It produced 5 keikis that are now very strong looking with plenty of roots for me to separate from the plant. I don't particularly want to put them in pots. What are your thoughts on me mounting them to one of my trees and should they hang down or upright? Thanks for your input.

I've gotten away with just tying an Oncidium and miltassia in my trees without any media and they've done quite well. Can I do that with these dendrobium keikis? Oh and should I do this now or wait until spring?

I am not sure about the seasonal timing. Surely someone will answer. Maybe you should include more info like the type of your Dendrobium, if it will grow large and heavy or stay small to decide whether hanging it down or upright.

Agree with Azizan. Best to know what type of Dendrobium you have and whether are not the keiki are growing.

Here are two pics of the dendrobium and keikis. Has no ID. It's been upright in the pot and is about 12 inchesName: image.jpeg

I do not know the climate of Florida, in Italy would surely be preferable to intervene in the spring, here we are in late autumn, interventions are limited to those you extreme necessity.

I would agree with Elio and wait till spring unless of an issue which would require you to repot at this time.

I don't see any green tips on the roots (not in the picture anyway) but they do seem to be growing. Means they are taking water and nourishment from the old canes. When they dry out the keike will begin to look for sustenance
elsewhere (new root tips) and that should be the best time to separate and pot. At least in theory.
