Default Where in the world do you live, and grow Orchids.?

I have noticed recently that many people are not revealing their Location when filling in their profile information. I am not sure whether this is deliberate or just a slip up.

The reason I have decided to note this, is because if you tell us where you live it makes it easier to give you help with any queries you might have concerning your orchid-growing. The other aspect, for myself, I will also be able to glean why you are able to grow certain species in your area when I cannot get them to thrive in mine.
Think about it, let us know where you are!!

I'm on mobile and can't see that info anyway.
It is helpful to know where a person is growing to be able to help and to compare.

Though it's cetainly their right not to name their location, I agree with Angela's sentiments. We don't need a exact address of course, but the country name at least would be most helpful. AL

Lets narrow down to a state If I say just India you will automatically imagine Slum dog millionaire, Taj Mahal, Goa, Kerala and Rajasthan desert hehe

This was a great way for me to research what I could grow and how to grow it, I would always look for location to assess(sp) someone's remarks and experiences. Growing in Maine and growing in Florida can be 2 different things.

Thanks Angela, it does make it easier to offer advice knowing where someone is growing her/his orchids.

Jason, to make the mobile site load fast I had to choose what features to include and not include. As we grow more and more I am in the process of redoing the mobile site. I am open to suggestions - especially from someone who uses the site regularly through the mobile connection. I do use it, but not for long and mostly for moderation which is a back-end port not accessible for non-administrators so I may not notice or percieve the need for some parts of the site that have been limited to preserve bandwidth on mobile devices. Send me a PM anytime with suggestions.

    cheers,
    BD
