The parentage is Ascda Blue Boy x Neofinetia falcata. Blue Boy itself is not a complex cross - 2 doses of V.coerulea and one of sanderiana, plus one of Asctm curvifolium - which apparently is fairly dominant. Flowers about 3 or 4 cm north south , and very freely borne , there are more than 60 buds and flowers here in the three spikes.
I was rather disappointed in the colour of the flowers when I first got that far - a few years ago, I had hoped for blue , and my wife told me to stop complaining because she thought it was lovely ; so I named it for her .
I did grow one into a big multi-growth plant, but the middle died out , so I split it up, and kept just a couple of pieces, both of which are now flowering or near so, and both with three spikes.
This one is in a four inch dia net pot - to give an idea of size.
