    Cool (Bc. Maikai x C. Maxima) 'Pearly Shell'

    You can see from the last picture, this plant has been not blooming for a long time. It finally graced me with three buds...after a rough summer of burns and super high sun levels. Apparently this one likes obscene amounts of fertilizer and honey as well. lol

    Hahaha, I have got the same kind of intergeneric cross and I treat it the same. It is standing behind a curtain an receives hugh amounts of direct sunlight. The leaves feal sometimes just hot! And every spring it's a wonderfull show of pink flowers. Good luck with the knowledge of your new treatment!

    Can definitely see the Maikai in this hybrid. Never have had any luck blooming any of the Maikai.

    Beautiful display, Connie. I love the Makais. They have a certain edge to them thaat Catts don't generally have.

    That cross has been named, and courtesy of the taxonomists renaming an ancestral genus - it is now called Brassanthe Haleahi Profusion
