    Those flowers look super sturdy and waxy. Are they?

    I have never noticed the waxy look before, either in my own plant or seeing them in the wild.
    The name of course comes from the rather fanciful idea that the reddish patch is like a dragons throat.not that I have ever seen a dragon, but I think that botanist must have been a little high when he named this one.
