Flowers are actually about 2cm across at most - the pot is 3inch - 75mm size.
This is one of the high altitude Oxyglossum series dendrobes from New Guinea - lives in almost constant mist I believe. The remarkable thing about them is that the flowers last for months and months. But not quite the easiest orchid to grow.
I have tried flasks ( many times) and bought small seedlings - ditto ; this one I bought as a well established seedling 2 years ago - the first time I have ever kept one alive this long, and the first flowering for me. It gets easier as they get bigger ( my fingers are crossed so hard when I say this that I doubt if I'll get them disentangled before breakfast.....).

I really hope to show it again next year with more flowers - when almost covered with flowers - as I have see - they are a superb sight.

I didn't know there was a pink shape. I associate Dendrobium cuthbertsonii with yellow-brown or rarely whitish. I am already curious how this healthy plant will develop in the next 12 months. I hope to see spectacular photos next year in July. Who could do that if not you?
