drooping paph

I keep knocking one specific paph over, and this last time, it just didn't like it. I guess it reached the "enough is enough" point. The flower, which had been (painfully) slowly opening for the last two weeks, is drooping. It got as far as mostly open, and then I went and knocked it over again.

Is there anything I can do to help it? I'd love to keep the bloom from dying, but that seems too hopeful now. Maybe I should just cut the dying blossom off and give the plant itself a chance to recover....

do you have a picture? most paphs will open up facing downwards slightly. in nature they do this so the dorsal sepal prevents rainwater from getting into the pouch (which will rot it).

i think it's too late to save it, the "pouch" is shriveling. i'm pretty sure it didn't open all the way, as the dorsal sepal was nearly at a 90 degree angle from the pouch, it wasn't even partially uncovered. my natural grace just did the poor thing in. *sigh*
