Default What causes Phal leaves to split

What causes Phal leaves to split like these? Who Has the Correct Answer? The plants are otherwise healthy and growing. The new leaves split as they grow larger. Is this because they are growing faster than the length will allow? Or is it dryness in my GH .....or just what has been your experience??????

    I have a theory...but it's just a theory..

If the plants are a little dehydrated when you water them...the cells "fill up" quickly and the expansion causes the leaves to split. Again, just a theory...

I have a couple with minor splits, but not anything like the leaf split in half like you are showing.

I agree, I think it has to do with cell collapse and then getting turgid again. Sometimes low humidity also causes strange deformations like this. I have a few with small splits, and the plants seem to do okay. I wish you could mend them back together!!

I also agree that irregular watering could be a cause
