My husband used to keep a machete by the door with a sign letting you know that if you wanted to enter this house you would need to use it, my house plants would get watered with that, fish emulsion and oxygen plus, alternating the three. I have recently started using the same on my orchids, with the hopes that I would get the same results.
P.S. My Swedish Ivy had leaves on it bigger around than my hand fully spread and bloomed twice a year or more, went from a 6 in. pot to a 10 in. pot in less than a year.

I have found that I get more rigorous root growth when I use Superthrive, which generally results in a healthier plant. I usually put a few drops in with the fertilizer water. When repotting I use a stronger dose to get things started.

The seaweed stuff sounds interesting, does it smell bad?
