    Default Using Rooting Hormone?

Okay, so my Den is about to lose most of it's roots (they're dead anyway) and is going to be bagged. How do I apply this Schultz Take Root Hormone? That's the stuff I got (seems I can only get my hands on one brand huh?). Do I need to dillute it? How do I use it? Will it hurt the plant at all? Just... tell me everything. I want to give this Den as much of a chance as possible.

Oh, and I'll just throw this in here. It has three of those stiff cane things. The smallest one is discolored and squishy... Should I remove it?

Edit: Nevermind. Well, you can still answer, but I've gone and done everything already.

Any time you decide to do surgery on these plants, always get rid of anything obviously dead or rotting, and apply fungicide to any cuts made into live, good tissue. Here, I use powdered Captan for that, but any kind of fungicide will work.

Rooting hormone is fine--just dilute and use according to the manufacturer's instructions. Some people swear by the stuff.

I'll have to find some of that powdered Captan...
