How many orchids do you have?

I keep track by making a list of the orchids and I don't record doubles (or triples) or ones without ID. I only count the ones on the list. I have sixty-one, soon to be sixty-two.
I have quite a few other plants so my spouse doesn't really notice the orchids.

I have just over 30. Three of them are dendrobium kingianum. I haven't quite figured out how to bloom them so they keiki like crazy. I have taken to putting the keikis on just about anything since they grow like weeds here. I figure this summer is going to have me adding four or five more kingianum mounts! I have others that need dividing, but I don't see myself selling them or giving them away. I'll just experiment with growing methods until my little condo deck becomes a forest of orchids!

Yvonni, my greenhouse is a modest 4x8. I have to build an overwintering room in the basement in a month or two. Got all the stuff, just have to get to it. I would have been stuck at 69 orchids but I accidentally broke part off my dancing lady, but it's in a pot now and doing well...

Bravo Cathy!! My thoughts exactly. At my last count, when I reached 200, and thought I was done, I suddenly realised that I had not counted the hanging Vandas and some other tables tucked under the trees, so I stopped the count, and just declared Ratts!!!!! refuse to count them again, and have added many since then.

Angela, whatever you do...DON"T COUNT! It will make you feel like the "crazy orchid lady". I refuse to count anymore.

I am with you Cathy. My last count was 200 and that was in March. I have added a lot since then and refuse to count again. Am afraid if I knew I would quit buying and that isn't about to happen. LOL

That's more space then I have here . I mean at least I can keep them outside all year round but I can't quite keep them form either getting sunburn or drying out really fast , even the ones inside . I swear I live in the desert of the island .
