One of my Cattleya seedlings came to me that way. I initially thought it was just unstable, but later realized that the largest PB is broken. I've just left it there sort of propped on the edge of the pot and it's still green, over a month later. I figure whatever connection it's got left to the rest of the plant is still allowing it to nourish the plant and vice versa. I'll probably cut it off when it withers. The good thing is that I've got two new PBs coming in, otherwise I'd be really sad.
