Unhappy Help - Yellowing Den. leaves

I just bought a blooming den. and the leaves are starting to yellow. I am a new grower so I'm following the directions of the grower that sold it to me. He told me that Den.'s like a lot of morning light so I have mine in the window of a west facing window. It's been there for about 3 weeks and now the leaves are turning yellow. Common sense is to move the plant but how far - I don't want it to start getting too little light? Please help I don't want to kill my first orchid! Thanks

My Dends are in an east facng porch and I've never had a problem. Where is the yellowing, if on the tips it might be due to overfertilization. Dends can dry out slightly between waterings. So make sure your not overwatering.

Morning light in a west-facing window? I don't even think that happens down under...

Brown tips are fertilizer burn. Yellow leaves are a sign of a watering problem. Either too much or two little. If it's too little, the canes will also shrivel. I agree that deciduous Dends wouldn't be losing leaves this time of year. That's fall behavior.
