This is my second terrarium, and it has taken almost double the time of the first one! I wanted this one to have only orchids, and maybe some water plants. I'm hoping to have it almost completely planted after the Summer Orchid Fest next weekend.

Wow what a lot of work...but so pretty. I'm guessing you sit watching that instead of tv some nights.

Nice! How long do you leave the light on at night? Does it ever get dark?
Cheers,

The night light is less than 1 watt. I didn't think that would be enough light to disrupt the night cycle, but now that you mention it I think I'll set the timer to turn it off around the time I go to bed.![]()
You could put a Betta fish in the bottom!
Could you please describe your lighting and circulation system? Any cooling installed?
I am thinking about adding a betta once it's totally planted! I have 2- 4 3/4" 12v fans, as for lighting I have 1- 65watt and 1- 23watt compact fluorescent.
Very nice set up !!

Great work. I enjoy seeing how others are creative with orchids.
Really awesome setup you have there! Jus wanted to askif you use plain ordinary florescents or special plant ones.
By the way, what is a betta fish?!?
