RIP. Pointy Head

Pointy Head was my pet Cockatiel he passed away this evening .
Was on his perch , went to the cage bottom and was gone , he was not ill . Probably a stroke/ heart attack he was 12 . Gin

Oh Gin, I am so sorry for your loss, at pet is such a close family member no matter if they have fir, feathers or fins. They give unconditional love and don't care if we gain 10 pounds or don't shave, though I think sometime they care if we don't bathe. Never let your grief keep you from getting another furry,feathery or scaly family member because there is always reincarnation and who would want to come back as a human when they could come back as a pet of ours.

Oh, Gin, I hope you are not too distraught about loosing a dear pet. Living and dying are part of living things. The memories will live on...

Sorry Gin. 12 is a good, ripe old age for a cockatiel though - I think. Keep it in perspective, and all will be well.

Sorry to hear of your loss Gin... one thing that is always with us is the memories.. and if that starts to go, there's always pictures... cherish!

Thanks for the support , It was a shock ,so fast .
I handfed him from day 1 his parents removed most of his toes on one foot and a wing tip when he hatched .
12 is not that old for a Tiel but he was a white face pied pearl color mutation , like albinos, not the long life span the normal grey color Tiels. have . Thanks again for the kind words they are appreciated . Gin

Sorry to hear that GIn. Loosing a pet always sucks! Everytime a pet dies I remember when I lost my first goldfish. I was 8 and very sad. but then you realize thats how life is. I think it helps when you learn this at a young age.
But I digress, he looked cute. Sorry for your loss.

Pointy Head looks like such a sweetie in your picture. He's a little guy, but I'll bet his loss has left a big hole in your household. Our animal buddies come to mean so much to us and are truly one of life's greatest blessings. Something special and profound that Life chose us for them and them for us! I'm so sorry about your loss.
