why do some phals have two spikes?

hi every body ,i want to know why does some phals have 2 spikes and some have 1 spike. does that have anything with the quality of fertilizer we feed them. can any one help me with this thank u

It is a combination of plant condition and genetics. If you plant is getting what it needs from a well balanced fertilizer and has growing conditions that suit it it will do it's best. Some phal species carry multiple spikes and rebloom from them year after year. This is where the genetics come in.
