You have new growth there, Rich. I would guess you will need higher light levels to bloom your catts inside. They require brighter light than paphs. Good luck!

I have 3 pics of new growth that looks rather odd.Well be rather new at growing orchids, it looks odd to me.I also included a photo of the plant when purchased in bloom.I guess the question I have is,this plant has been inside under lights since I bought this plant.I have been able to bloom paphs. so far.Does this mean I have enough light to bloom some catts inside? Right now the weather in Florida has been all over the place in temperture.I have had to move alot of my plants inside because of the cold temps.over some nights and move them back outdoors the following day.If these are spikes does this mean blooms for sure? Thanks,Rich

yes new growth but this one blooms from maturing new growth so you still have a chance
Give them bright bright light!!! What type of sun exposure do they get?
New growth, good stuff! Nice purple blooms, too. What is that one?
Tami
Hello everyone,I haven't been on for awhile.Becky my plants inside do not get any natural sunlight.I live in a one bedroom Apt. with one window in the living room and one in the bedroom. At the time I moved in I wasn't a chid addict then.I was thinking about lower A/C bills.I have units on each side of mine. The only light is 1-48" t-5 , 1-24" t-5 and 2-65 watt spot grow lights. The pictures show the grow area. The unknown catt. is to the far right.Tami,I do not know the name of this plant. It was in bloom when I purchased it w/no tag ? Sorry I could not be of any help. Thanks,Rich
Rich, your plants all look so healthy and well cared for in your grow space. Nice growing!! Glad to see you back online.
