This one its one of my smallest orchids, how much bigger does it need to get before it blooms. Right now it's putting on new growth.

How much light does it need?? right now i have been giving it phal light but i only had it for about 2 weeks.
OH, maybe that should be sufficient. Wait for a few more weeks. You will be surprised. Being a Vanda grower, I never thought I could own a Dracula since most of them are low light with lots of humidity. But mine seems to be doing well. It is mounted on a piece of wood. I will post a pic once it blooms.
Wish I could grow a Dracula. It gets way to hot here. Looking forward to your blooms, Byron.
cheers,

yes please post a picture. i was thinking of mounting it but i wasn't sure as they like to stay moist. Sorry to hear about the BD, why dont you try to grow it at home??? i have it under lights and it rarely gets above 80 degrees. AC is on 24/7 lol
Apparently all dracs like medium-low light levels. Alot of people here seem to grow them on washing lines strung underneath their greenhouse/shadehouse benches. If you ever get too much-you know where to send some![]()
Yours should be blooming size, Byron. Never been able to get mine to bloom but haven't managed to kill it yet either.
