    Default Chiloschista lunifera alba

    at least that is what I think it is. I purchased this from a Thai vendor and it was just labeled Chiloschista. Chiloschista is a leafless (or nearly so) epiphyte and a member of the Vanda alliance that Southern Asia. It is essentially a bundle of roots that perform nearly all the food-making functions for the plant. I grow it mounted on a piece of plastic screening. It gets medium-bright light, intermediate temperatures, high humidity watered more during it's root growing season, which starts after blooming. Occasionally, it with get a rudimentary leaf or 2.

    It looks like lunifera to me as well. I love looking at the roots on these!

    Very pretty, looks like Lunifera Alba is correct.
    Chiloschstas were amongst the very first orchids I got ...
    Long dead ... but your photo makes me want to get some of those little leafless guys ...

    I guess you must have a lot of patience with this one. How long did it take to bloom it? Did it have to grow alot before blooming?
